Once upon a time, there were the Olympics. The year was 1980. The Summer Games were to be held in Moscow.

As part of it's Olympic coverage, NBC had commissioned a cartoon about animals competing in their own Olympic type games..ANIMALYMPICS.
While the Winter Games portion was shown, something prevented NBC from showing the summer portion.
